Moody’s Upgrades Česká Pojišťovna Rating By 3 Notches to A3
Prague (March 4, 2008) – International rating agency Moody´s today raised its raiting assessment of CP financial strength by 3 notches from Baa3 to A3 with stable outlook. Česká pojišťovna has been awarded with one of the highest possible ratings in the Czech Republic already for the second time within last month. A month ago, Standard & Poor’s upgraded its rating also by 3 notches from BBB to A.
Moody’s through this upgrade
values the improvement in the financial strength of Česká pojišťovna,
our strong position in the market and the fact of Česká pojišťovna
being most important part of the Generali PPF Holding joint venture,”
commented ČP CEO Lard Friese.
Moody’s values in its report
further substantial improvement in the asset quality, a sustained
strong and profitable growth and significantly higher levels of
capitalization. “Valuation from Moody’s reflects hard work done in
recent years in ČP by a joint effort of its management and all
employees,” added Friese.
Česká pojišťovna is a member of
Generali PPF Holding B.V. which operates in 12 Central and Eastern

manages assets amounting nearly EUR 10 billion and serves 9 million
